Ancestral Pile

The plumber came at noon (!) and was done by two. Our realtor is in possession of both his receipt and a recommendation from a home inspector (since our friend the contractor didn't show up) which says to do exactly what was done (how convenient!). He is faxing it over to our lender, who will give it to his underwriter, who will look at it and let us know if it's okay sometime soon (like, sometime in the next 2 to 24 hours). If it's all good (which it should be), we will settle on Thursday and move on Friday.

Apparently I'm feeling very parenthetical today.

So cross your fingers; only one thing can go wrong now, and everyone seems pretty confident that it won't.
