Ancestral Pile

After the plumbing got fixed, the appraiser told us he had to come inspect the house again before he signed off on his approval for the loan. We were unaware of this. It added some time, and has slowed us down. He came this morning at 8:30 AM and approved it (whew!), then headed back to his office to complete the paperwork and send it in to our lender. Provided he got it there in time, our lender says there is a "50/50 chance" that we will settle on Friday. Otherwise we will have to wait until next week. If we do have to wait until next week, there are two options: a) Move into Don's parents' basement or b) Get the sellers to agree to let us move our stuff in early. We do not know as of right now which of these we will be doing. But at least we know we are settling!
