a strange shot

This picture came out so interestingly that I had to post it. I was standing on the first floor, in the living room, shooting almost straight up. Don's dad was in the second bedroom upstairs, handing something up to Don, who was perched in the attic. Really drives home the fact that the house is really, truly completely gutted!

I laugh out loud every time I read your posts. My Dad is an architect, and I lived this lifestyle the entire time I was growing up. I thought dust was something everyone lived with. Perhaps my favorite moment was when my Dad inadvertently pumped insulation material into my closet - filling it up completely and burying my clothes.

I didn't live in a "finished" house until I left home at eighteen. Welcome to the rest of your life.

Larry - thanks!

Broadsheet - I'm glad we can entertain you. :P We both grew up in houses under permanent construction; my mother's house is still not finished! We're hoping to not inflict the lifestyle on any potential children, though -- or at least not as much!
