When even your grandmother is calling you and hinting that you ought to post in your blog, and is everything all right, etc. etc., you know you probably ought to post.
Hi, Grandma.
Anyway, life's been hectic. The roof is done, the gas is done, the stove is ordered. The scratch and dent store (or, as Don calls it, the bump and grind store) has not yet gotten in a matching set of the washer and dryer we want (the last time we went they had like twenty washers and no dryers). We'll get them when we can, though.
The big news is that today is my last day at my current place of employment. Because, you see, I got a new job. Which is half an hour from my house, and pays a significant amount more than I'm making now. So, you know, awesome. So I've been frantically finishing the last couple of projects I have here, and clearing out my office, and trying to put as many helpful things as possible into one place for whoever has this job next.
Plus, tomorrow morning I'll be on a flight to Washington that leaves at 6 AM, to visit my mommy. Don is staying home, so don't try to burgle the house or anything. I'm staying with my mom until Tuesday, when I fly back home, and then on Wednesday I'll be starting the new job. Busy busy busy!
PS: Mom I need to use your washer and dryer when I get there.
PPS: Yes people, I will be at the Baltimore blogger happy hour on January 24th at the Wharf Rat in Fells Point. Will you?
